Theoretical Stance:
I describe my approach as relational. I have a warm open style that facilitates the therapeutic situation. Over 23 years I have added a wide range of therapy trainings that have included TA, Psychoanalytic theory, Mindfulness, Mentalisation, ADHD training, Trauma informed work and Existential psychotherapy. My work is focussed on beneficence and autonomy.
Supervision:
My integrative supervision diploma was awarded by the Metanoia Institute. I see experienced therapists and therapists enrolled on training programs. My frame is geared to promoting the self supervisory function that will empower the practitioner going forward.
Relationship Therapy:
Couples work focusses on the need to relate empathically to unravel relational difficulties and emotional impasses. My experience has included working with people in heterosexual & same sex relationships whether monogamous or open.

Recognize. Understand. Change.
Holistic psychotherapy
Every person is unique and has their own challenges and opportunities. As a psychotherapist, I will support you sensitively and expertly. See below for my professional philosophy

My philosophy
Consistency & Clarity
Sessional contracting is the means by which each session is purposeful and sequentially important to a well defined outcome
Co-creative stance
Working relationally invokes the centrality of the relaionship. The therapist is not a blank screen but a real human being with shared thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
Supervision
My work is continuously supervised and a rigorous amount of CPD is carried out annually in support of my UKCP membership
Competence
With my many years of experience and my in-depth training in psychotherapy, I am competent and qualified to offer you the support and guidance you need.
Safety, Culture & Ethics
'Above all do no harm'
I am deeply committed to cultural diversity, respecting gender identity and honouring sexual orientation.
Transparency
I am transparent in my work and communicate openly and honestly with you about your progress, challenges and goals to ensure that you are always informed and involved.
